Tunegum.com tries to help
the Southern African music industry by creating a democratic easy to expand list
of all the artists (performing or not), all the venues, all the events/festivals
in the country: updated by a collection of fans, bands, artists, venue owners
and rogue do-gooders.
The aim is to gradually
create a localized portal for music in a region which is glanced over by
multinational portals.
Tunegum.com is open for
anyone to add their information on events, bands, artists, venues etc.).
(Add YOUR favorite gig! – if every
person just adds one gig or artist per day we will have Southern Africa covered in no time)
The site focuses on music
but actually any artist or event can add their information. (Add YOUR
information!)
There is a huge list of
venues and artists stored already: but you can add any new artist, venue and add
information on new or existing artists in the database.
The site works on community
participation: the underlying principle is that anyone musician, fan, venue
owner or other roughens can add and contribute.
You have to be a member to
be able to add/tweak anything.
You can
sell your event tickets through tunegum.com Contact us on .
info@tunegum.com (to find out how to list.)
You will be able to sell
your tunes through tunegum.com in future. Maybe other stuff too.
There is a whole list of
functionalities to follow but we are taking it one step at a time.
The site is fully endorsed
by South African music entities such as OppiKoppi productions and others who
commit all their event information to this site and are already selling their
tickets through this portal.
It is an ambitious work in
progress and there are many rough edges, so please report errors and make
suggestions.
(info@tunegum.com).
We are programming as fast
as we can, if you are keen to assist in this project please contact us on
